The Salty Mermaid brand was inspired by Hawaii, the love of salt & edible flowers!
Aloha! My name is Karen Barski, aka "The Salty Mermaid". Back in 2018, I launched our brand while residing on the gorgeous island of Maui, Hawaii. Fast forward to 2022, we relocated our family to Boulder, CO, where we revamped our brand. We now cultivate our own edible flowers and herbs on our home farm, transforming them into nutritious and visually appealing edible floral salts through a fun and beautiful process of alchemy.

We are a busy family of 7! 2 have left the nest, 3 more to go!
Bella, Bryce and Brody attend Boudler High and help us out at our local Boulder and Longmont farmers markets where we are guest vendors. We have 2 pups, 1 cat, 2 guinea pigs and 2 fish. We love traveling together and exploring new places. You can often find us out on Pearl street enjoying shopping our favorite stores , eating at our amazing local restaurants or hiking in nature. Our edible flowers are home grown in Boulder Colorado, and salts imported from Molokai, HI. The blend offers a beautiful finishing salt to make your food beautiful and tasty!
